About Course

Knowledge and skills

Students will understand the cultural significance, environmental impact, and nutritional value of edible insects. They’ll learn about global insect consumption practices, safety and ethical considerations in insect farming, and the ecological benefits compared to traditional livestock. The course emphasizes the rich protein and nutrient content of edible insects.
Participants will acquire skills in safely handling, preparing, and cooking edible insects, integrating them into various culinary applications. They’ll develop the ability to critically evaluate and apply knowledge about insects in sustainable food systems, enhancing their capacity to incorporate insect-based foods into mainstream diets.
