About Course

Knowledge and skills
During the course, students will be introduced to the concepts of biotechnology, bioengineering and biological material. The stages of the production process will be discussed, using examples of specific biopolymers – polysaccharides, vitamins, enzymes.

What Will You Learn?

  • The combination of engineering sciences and biotechnology to produce food ingredients and selected components for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Discussion of process engineering and biotechnology. Examples of industrial production of selected biopolymers – polysaccharides, vitamins, proteins.
